Managed and had oversight of 100 Learners, all of whom were studying and working towards a Prison Service management qualification. Was responsible for delivering a series of workshops designed to assist in the development of the candidates taking part. Was also responsible for assessing all candidates to ensure that they were on target and would successfully attain their qualification. Was responsible for managing and organising own caseload to ensure that the training was delivered to the exacting standards and contractual requirements of the Ministry of Justice. Due to the narrow timescales and high target levels involved had to display excellent time management and organisational skills, with an excellent attention to detail.

Oversaw the daily running of the prison regime whilst maintaining the security and safety of prison staff, prisoners and visitors. Required to respond to and manage incidents, initiating and supervising investigations ensuring correct recovery of evidence (including electronic devices) whilst maintaining chain of custody requirements. Required to report investigation findings to Senior Management. Responsible for ensuring that Information Reporting Processes were carried out correctly and intelligence safeguarded, especially in cases of possible wrongdoing and/or corruption involving prison staff. Supported and supervised staff, ensuring that regular appraisals were conducted and appropriate training was allocated and completed. Responsible for the continuous improvement, productivity and service delivery for own department. Prepared and presented reports to senior prison management accordingly on diverse and wide ranging topics. Drafted and implemented policy documents to ensure compliance with local and national instructions and orders. Drive the regime forward to ensure performance targets are met. Provide first aid cover including emergency defibrillation. Instruct and tutor staff in specific expertise to ensure desired outcomes. Liaison with outside agencies and stakeholders, to ensure targets were met and standards maintained.

Extensive investigative experience within the Royal Military Police, Special Investigation Branch. Managed cases that required a multi agency approach and conducting Joint Operations with foreign law enforcement agencies. Also conducted investigations in hostile and remote locations. Responsible for the investigation of the more serious and complex crimes committed by or against soldiers and their families in a global environment. Some of these cases received national and international media coverage. Was required to manage own caseload and had to ensure that all relevant cases were prepared for Courts Martial making certain all judicial requirements were met. Was responsible for providing advice and tutelage to trainee investigators. Was also responsible for advising uniformed colleagues on topics such as scene preservation, the recovery and continuity of evidence. Carried out armed General Policing Duties, both in the UK and abroad, including investigations, crime prevention, patrolling duties and public liaison. Qualified and experienced Close Protection Operative, providing armed personal security for a British High Commissioner, Senior Government Officials and assisted Royal Protection Officers during Official Royal Visits overseas.
