Through experiential education programs focused on women and girls leadership, we engage and empower future minds to create a sustainable tomorrow.

Current project: Access Water - an initiative to complete an expedition on a major waterway on one continent every other year to bring attention to, and create a movement around, access to clean water.The team (Ann, Liv, together with six women from six continents) completed their first Access Water expedition down the Ganges River in 2015. The next expedition will take them down the full length of the Mississippi River beginning in September of 2018. The final expedition within Access Water will be in 2027 on Antarctica.

Using the last three decades of extreme expeditions as a metaphor for work and life, Ann weaves themes such as passion meets purpose, teamwork,and overcoming challenges in a changing world. Amazing photographs and movies accompany her presentations.

The Ann Bancroft Foundation empowers Minnesota girls to imagine something bigger and helps them reach their full potential. We strive to build confidence, offer tools and mentorship for girls to pursue their dreams and interests. At the ABF, we do this through grants, mentorships and ongoing development opportunities.
