As Coordinator Course Development at Leo Cussen Centre for Law, I am part of a dynamic team that designs, develops and delivers practical legal training courses for law graduates bridging between their degree and admission to legal practice. We take advantage of the latest online teaching and learning innovations and blend that with the best of face to face teaching to develop skills and deep learning in our trainees. Previously, I was Coordinator of the Online Practical Legal Training Course for 8 years, and I continue to work with the online team to update course design including using the Moodle Learning Management system, and contribute to timetable design for smooth and effective delivery; and also the monitoring of trainee progress and assessment.I am responsible for design and delivery of intensive face to face small group instruction sessions at the start of the practical legal training course in online and onsite modes that provide a basis for all trainees to build on as they progress. These include drafting, interviewing, dispute resolution and negotiation workshops. I participate in the design and presentation of special project courses.I have a long history of assisting applicants making disclosure to the Victorian Legal Admissions Committee as part of their application to be admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria as an Australian lawyer.
