I lead a newly established taskforce to prioritise the advocacy around a set of key projects, including in response to the recent Afghanistan conflict.

In this fixed term role, I administered a $AUD 5 million grants program to stimulate economic recovery in the tourism and events sector in response to the COVID 19 pandemic. I led a team of three to deliver the program and evaluate the applicants and make recommendations for Ministerial consideration.

My roles within the newly established Bushfire Recovery Agency (BRV) included the Policy and Strategy team, Aboriginal Culture and Healing team and currently with the Engagement and Donations team. The focus of this role was to support a key external advisory group, community engagement, service delivery and major philanthropic groups.

I was engaged on a one-year assignment to work directly to the Chief Fire Officer (CEO) to proactively managing government relations and external affairs including media and communications. The MFB has over 4,000 staff and, as a leading emergency service, is subject to a high level of public scrutiny. I was a member of the Executive Leadership team.

I was engaged by the then Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources (DEDJTR) now the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions (DJPR) on a one-year assignment (with three assignments) to:(1) implement the inaugural Women’s Trade Mission to China in April 2018. My work resulted in a high successful inaugural trade mission to China, with more women now engaging in Victoria’s international trade program and this mission now an annual event. (2) undertake a review of Victoria’s Skilled and Business Investment Migration program. My work formed the evidence base for reform (now underway) to better align migration to Victoria’s economic priorities contributing to a boost in Victoria’s economic performance. (3) develop a strategy to increase migration settlement into regional Victoria. My work informed a complex policy debate and a Cabinet discussion, and while ultimately change has not yet been adopted, the analysis was highly regarded.

I was engaged by Department of Premier and Cabinet on a one-year assignment to develop positive and ongoing relationships with relevant communities, service providers and stakeholders for the Chair and Commissioners of Victorian Multicultural Commission.

I worked for 14 years as a Senior Adviser to a number of Members of Parliament and Senators at State and Federal government level, both in Opposition and Government, including in the Leader’s office and with Senior Cabinet Ministers.
