Each year the school has introduced a new grade level as the current students move up. In 2016-17, TECCS will reach its full size as a K-grade 8 school with 400 students. • As Chairperson of Board of Trustees: lead monthly meetings and ensure that School complies with all State curricular, ethical, HIB, financial, and administrative guidelines; work closely with Principal, Vice Principal on fulfilling school mission and setting longrange goals; work with School Business Administrator to plan and meet school's immediate and long-term financial goals.• Fundraising Committee responsibilities: setting long-range fundraising goals and budgets, supervising Director of Development, cultivating donors, managing Annual Fund and capital expansion, and planning fundraising events • Long-Range Facility Task Force responsibilities: assessing facility needs through school expansion, developing expansion plan and budget, negotiating with landlord on facility expansion, coordinating with Fundraising Committee regarding the start of a capital campaign• Personnel Committee responsibilities: assessing Principal and key staff members, leading Faculty Focus Group, and providing support and resources to school employees.• Board Recruitment Committee responsibilities: cultivating, soliciting, and defining roles of new Trustees.• Networking with elected officials, community leaders, and educational reformers on behalf of charter schools’ rights and funding need, and organizing outreach to the press.
