Illuminote, Inc. is a legal technology startup company I co-founded in 2020. This business emanated from, and was designed in response to, reoccurring themes we experienced in our trust and estate litigation practice.

Eberts Law Group is a full-service trust, estate, and elder abuse litigation practice. I participate in every facet of the firm, including finances, legalities, case selection, client management, and litigating cases through pleading, discovery, bench and jury trials, and writs and appeals.

As a civil litigator, I counseled financial institutional clients regarding compliance with a myriad of ever-changing state and federal regulations. I managed a high volume of real property-related transactions, litigation, and title curative actions throughout all levels of escalation and urgency and established excellent rapport with clientele by providing concrete counsel and bringing disputes to a close. Through zealous advocacy I was able to expeditiously dispose of legal claims and I also conducted department-wide training workshops and mentored junior associates.

At Roetzel & Andress, I excelled at providing top-quality responsive and anticipatory counsel and advocacy to clients of a full-service, multi-state, NLJ 250 law firm. I prepared responses to investigations launched by both the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Ohio Civil Rights Commission and have represented employers at all stages of issue resolution and litigation, including advising, negotiating, and mediating matters. I appeared in three to ten hearings per week, and dozens of trials, in venues ranging from administrative hearings through appellate courts. I was selected to spearhead, organize, and present at the employment law workshop for a large, long-standing, public utility client and routinely prepared materials on employment law for firm-wide client training seminars.

As a newly barred Ohio attorney, I participated in a contract review project and supported the in house legal team.

During law school, I worked as a law clerk in the legal department at Alaris Medical Systems during its acquisition by Cardinal Health/Care Fusion. While there, I supported the legal team by drafting and managing the independent contractor agreements, maintaining the international and domestic intellectual property paper filings and confidential disclosure agreements, managed the filing system, conducted research, reviewed contracts, and conducted a business-wide document review project.
