  For over forty years, I have worked with at-risk-children. I have been a child care worker, a unit program director, and a crisis counselor at a residential treatment center for emotionally disturbed children who have been abused both physically and sexually. I also worked at a therapeutic school for Special Education and children on the autism spectrum. During my years at the therapeutic school I was a crisis counselor, librarian, public school liaison, supervisor of a volunteer tutoring program, teacher's assistant and fill-in Special Education teacher. Now retired from that field, I spends my time writing, traveling and enjoying life.I am the author of nine books for children. They are entitled: FINS AND FLIPPERS/SCALES AND NIPPERS, KEEPER OF THE SWAMP (Spanish version: El guardian del pantano), MISS HISS IS MISSING, PEANUT BUTTER BBQ, PRACTICAL YOKE, STARDUSTERS, TALES OF TAILS, WHAT'S FOR LUNCH?, and WHAT'S FOR DINNER? I am also the co-author of two books for adults, TLC FOR FRAZZLED KIDS/Helping Grown Ups Help Kids and HELP FOR FRAZZLED MOMS, A Practical Guide for Surviving Those Tough Years.
