I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with CHR for 13 years. I have private practice offices in East Granby, CT and Old Lyme, CT. I have been a therapist 30+ years and have been licensed in Florida, Maryland and Texas. My experience is vast as I have worked with all age groups in a variety of settings. I love my work with clients, and get the most satisfaction seeing my clients engage, improve and make the changes they work so hard to achieve within the healthy, safe and ethically professional relationships we develop. I am a Master ART Therapist (Accelerated Resolution Therapy) which is a revolutionary eye movement therapy used to help trauma survivors. Chris Sullivan funded a $600,000 research project at USF in Tampa, FL in 2015. ART is now a SAMHSA approved evidenced based model for Trauma and Depression. ART combines calming the body sensations with one's "scene" to produce an immense, lasting reduction in trauma for clients. My clients have been astounded with their results after only one session! I assist the creator of ART, Laney Rosenzweig, in teaching ART to Military and Civilian Therapists all over the country. ART helps resolve trauma, depression, OCD, nightmares, phobias, anxiety among other disorders. This therapy has dramatically impacted and changed clients' lives, actually "erasing" their traumatic scenes, replacing them with more positive scenes of their brain's choosing. It is the most powerful trauma therapy I've come across. "Keep the Knowledge. Lose the Pain" is ART's motto. I value the benefits of therapy and am viewed as a leader among my current Adult Out Patient team. My enthusiastic, personable, friendly and skilled approach is part of who I am.
