I teach piano to children, teens and adults. 35 plus years experience. I teach notes, hand position, posture, music theory,ear training, music pedagogy. I hear students play their songs, advise on perfecting technique, conduct ear training, train students for performing, choose their level, increase the difficulty of songs as needed.I also monitor student teachers for Western Governors University each semester. 8 years experience. Duties: observe the student teachers in their classroom six times per semester; grade what I saw and email results and comments to WGU for each visit; give student teachers advice for improvement, compliment strengths; write letters of recommendation; work with the host teachers to insure a good practice teaching experience; administer an informal midterm and final to the student teachers.
