In my role as U.S. Chief Risk Officer, I am responsible for ensuring that the organization is effectively identifying and managing the risks in the business and legal entities through which it operates in the U.S. I provide independent review and oversight of risk issues for leadership and fosters a strong risk culture across the U.S.I began my career at BMO Financial Group 20 years ago and have held numerous progressive roles. Most recently, I was the U.S. Chief Auditor and previously served as Chief Operating Officer for the North American Commercial Bank. I have received the following awards: Crain’s 2021 Notable Black Leaders and Executives (Crain’s Chicago Business, December 2021), Top 100 Women of Influence (Diversity MBA Magazine, 2020), 2019 Most Influential Women in Corporate America (Savoy Magazine), Chicago United Business Leader of Color (November 2017), Most Influential Women in Commercial Banking (Crain’s Chicago Business, November 2017), and Top 100 Executives under 50 Award (Diversity Magazine, July 2016). I am currently Board Chair for The Chicago Foundation for Women, Board Member of The Children Home & Aid Society of Illinois and The Civic Consulting Alliance. I am a 2022 Daniel Burnham Fellow with Leadership Greater Chicago and is Co-Chair of BMO’s Leadership Council for Diversity Equity and Inclusion. Additionally, I am an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, The Links Incorporated, and Jack and Jill of America.
