The UNM Foundation is a donor-driven organization that raises, manages, and invests private gifts on behalf of the University. Fundraising totals exceed $80 million annually. • Met monthly with Vice-President for Research to coordinate building and increasing corporate and foundation support for initiatives across campuses.• Initiated program for Early Career Investigators (ECI) to pursue private funding opportunities. Identified over 100 and catalogued them in an interactive, online spreadsheet. Won support from Dean, Directors, and ECI faculty producing 10 proposals totaling over $3.5M in first year.• Increased corporate donor prospects by identifying 75 national companies with university relations programs consistent with UNM goals. Narrowed to 30 for initial contact. Provided information to deans, chairs and center directors for collaboration in building potential funding relationships.• Initiated data prospecting project in Department of Computer Science to use open source data for identifying Alumni working at large US corporations.

The only two-year college in its service region, the University of New Mexico-Valencia Campus (UNM-VC) is an open-admissions, Hispanic Serving Institution which serves as the community college for a large rural area encompassing all of Valencia County and portions of Socorro and Torrance Counties.• Manage development office to increase friend- and fund-raising focused on endowed student scholarships.• Write grant proposals in collaboration with staff and faculty including US Department of Education, Title V HSI, Strengthening Institutions; Title III, Part F, HSI STEM; Upward Bound, and SSSP TRiO; as well as US Department of Labor, Nursing Expansion Program; and National Science Foundation S-STEM totaling over $10,700,000 in a five year period.• Fulbright Scholar in Administers in International Education German-American Exchange, Fall 2009.• Proven record of cooperation with Development Board to cultivate and steward donors showing a 100% percent increase in proceeds over 5 year period (from $500,000 to over $1,054,000).• Effectively work with board committee to hold an annual gala event showing a 150% increase in proceeds between 2012 and 2013.

Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) of the Truckee Meadows, now Family Promise Reno/Sparks, is a community-wide program that provides transitional shelter and comprehensive assistance for families in a manner that offers hope, preserves dignity and promotes self-sufficiency. • Managed activities of non-profit housing homeless families in congregation buildings, working with volunteers from 24 distinct congregations representing a wide spectrum of religious and spiritual beliefs.• Applied the Network’s vision and mission to offer excellent services to clients; success rate measured in employment of adults and placement of families in permanent housing increased by over 40% to a greater than 70% success rate.• With collaboration from the Board of Directors, increased agency’s community presence including receiving a working grant from the College of Business at the University of Nevada, Reno, to create branding and marketing materials.• Procured all operating funds through grant writing and fundraising activities.• Represented the Network to the public and the media.• Worked with United Way, AmeriCorp and hundreds of congregation volunteers to increase understanding of cultural, economic, race, ethnic, religious and philosophical differences building relationships and supporting cultural and political change to aid the needs of the impoverished and homeless.

The Neuroimaging Laboratory at Washington University has been a pioneer in human brain research since its inception, having made outstanding contributions to the study of brain function through the development and use of Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and functional Magnet Resonance Imaging. • Mapped brain function using Positron Emission Tomography.• Mentored and trained students in the processes of scientific research and analysis.• Authored scientific publications.• Oral presentation of work at international conferences.• Analyzed data for trends and statistical significance.• Designed and implemented studies.
