Team leader responsible for all aspects of the Scottish Governments Home Ownership policies. Key policy is the Low Cost Initiative for First Time Buyers (incorporating Open Market Shared Equity and New Supply Shared Equity), as well as shared ownership, legacy scheme management, and housing markets.

Based in the housing markets unit, part of the More Homes Division with a focus on Home Ownership.Varied role across a number of policies including the delivery of a number of shared equity schemes. Central to all strands of my job was stakeholder management and contract management.

My role was one of a small team to design and then deliver the Help to Buy Scotland Scheme, a shared equity scheme which assisted first time buyers and second steppers to purchase a new build home from participating builder in Scotland. I played a key role in the design of the scheme policy through to implementation and delivery.

Member of a bill team who brought forward legislation to charge a council tax increase on long term unoccupied properties. I played a key role in the design of this legislation, taking it through the key parliamentary stages, and then worked on the subsequent regulations to accompany the Unoccupied Properties Bill.Managed the Shelter empty homes partnership to provide local authorities across Scotland with support to bring their empty properties back into use.

Provide support for tenant and residents associations across Scotland to input into Scottish Government policy making

Support the Community Voices Network and its members to input into Scottish Government policy development relating to Regeneration.
