I oversaw the reintegration of finance teams from Sandwell Homes back into the Council advising appropriate Directors on finance issues relating to Housing. I managed the Home ownership teams( House sales and Leasehold Management).I specialised in all aspects of rent and service charge setting and managed the rent accounting administration and systems.

I was fortunate to be involved in the setting up of Sandwell Homes helping in the bidding process to secure £300m funding for the decent homes scheme. I was also involved in the PFI housing bid. I was responsible for advising and then implementing all matters relating to rent and service charge setting. I was a lead officer in the implementation of a complex housing management data base. For the first time we were able to regularly balance over 30,000 rent accounts to the penny, every month.I was called on to deal with advice and implementation of a number of one off projects as well as assisting the managers who oversaw the homeless ness budgets and supporting people contracts from a housing provider perspective.
