Dr. Ann Niles is a licensed psychologist who works with families and individuals providing insight-oriented psychotherapy as well as brief, solution focused treatment with adults, teens, adolescents, and young children. She specializes in working with clients who are experiencing issues related to anxiety, depression, interpersonal problems, school and learning, trauma or loss, self-esteem, change of life, or identity issues. Following the completion of her clinical internship and post-doctoral work in 2005, Dr. Niles has worked in private practice and independent school settings in New York, New Jersey and California. She has developed curriculum and taught health education classes to parents and lower/middle school students. She provides academic consultation and assessment and has been certified in assessing individuals with pervasive developmental disorders. Dr. Niles earned her undergraduate degree at Ohio University and her doctoral degree at the American School of Professional Psychology in San Francisco, and she continues her education regularly at professional conferences and trainings.
