About Ann Rane

We all have that one teacher who we remember, the best teacher we ever had. They shaped our lives for the better, and we each owe them a debt of gratitude for the knowledge they shared. Those teachers, those individuals, are part of who we are today. From tutoring to classroom teaching, and everything that occurs in between, I enjoy it all. Working with students of all ages is both a challenging and rewarding experience. I plan to continue to grow as an educator, but am wanting to move toward working to help develop educational materials to teach others, be it in a school or a corporation. I have a background in English, elementary education, technology integration in education, as well as equity work within schools. Communication is an important part of the functionality of a workplace, and a vital piece to the puzzle that is the industry of learning and otherwise. To communicate is to teach, to engage, and to learn. To believe in and to be a strong communicator takes practice and dedication. Additionally, organization is a key skill in order to accurately articulate thoughts, ideas, and create change. To be organized looks different for everyone. For me, to be organized is multi-faceted. It is not just focused on communication, but also scheduling, learning, and creating a foundation upon which to build."Be the change you want to see in the world" is not just a popular and famous quote, it is a lifestyle. I am a lifelong learner, and I am committed to creating positive change through encouraging others to seek knowledge and become the best versions of themselves. In the words of Wendell Willkie, "Education is the mother of leadership." To be a leader is to learn and to teach. Being a passionate individual is who I am. I am not a born leader, but I am an educated leader.

I have substitute taught in a variety of classes. I generally work with the primary population, grade kindergarten through fifth grade.
