My job is to identify barriers to success, pro-actively seek to remove them and persistently aim to improve performance of my hotel. I contribute ideas and feedback, find solutions to issues arising and take ownership of others and my mistakes. I coach and develop everyone in my team, show empathy, be approachable to guests & team members alike and actively promote change positively to others. I oversee the operations ensuring that the other managers are playing their part when they are managing shifts and that the teams in each department are performing well to ensure the guest has a great experience. I am on the floor during service, leading from the front, anticipating pressure points in different departments before they arise and jumping in where needed to help out.My job is never done and there is always room for improvement!! My fingers are in lots of pies and have a real handle on where improvements can be made and how I am going to achieve them through the team. I need to ensure that my team and I meet various business processes, standards and controls to ensure we are consistent as a brand. Ultimately, my hotel is a social and fun environment; at some point I get little peace and quiet!

I provided support and solutions to the needs of distressed operations, with the ability to act quickly to ensure hotels business is not disrupted, and transition of control is smoothly and effectively undertaken.Appointments ranged from operational support and short-term projects, through to turnaround and long term management assignments.I was able to stabilise the trading performance of businesses and employ any necessary improvements to increase trading and measure profitability.
