As test manager, my role is to oversee and manage the testing activities and to ensure that all software applications, systems, or products meet the highest standards of quality and functionality before they are released. In this role, I collaborate closely with stakeholders such as project managers and development teams to understand project requirements, define test objectives, and create a comprehensive testing strategy. I am involved in the planning and estimation of testing activities, including the identification of test types, coverage, and for building and leading a team of skilled testers, assigning tasks, and providing guidance and support whenever necessary. I ensure that the team has the necessary training, tools and knowledge to follow standard testing methodologies. I also seek to maintain effective and transparent communication channels with relevant stakeholders in order to make sure everyone involved is kept up to date regarding progress, potential risks and possible areas of improvement.As manager, I have strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. I am proficient at managing priorities and making decisions under tight deadlines. I have a good understanding of testing practices. Overall, my role as test manager involves overseeing the testing process, managing a dedicated team, ensuring quality standards are met, and driving continuous improvement in order to be able to deliver high-quality software to the customers.

Front- and Backend testing, GCP.My job was to make sure the applications and programs work as specified and required reports are generated and sent to correct databases. Tests performed include manual testing in order to try and identify bugs, errors and defects in software, functional testing, regression testing of i.e., new release candidates, code updates as well as and microservices and API: s and acceptance testing, making sure the applications under test meet specified requirements and are ready to de deployed into production. Basically, I was designing tests (Testrail) depending on whether it’s a platform, a game, an application or other software product that needs to be tested. My work includes running the tests, analysing the data and communicating with the developers about results, bugs, defects, fixes and possible improvements to the UI.I’m currently working mostly with backend testing microservices in various different test environments, making sure that the data they produce is generated and stored as required. This also includes testing mocked API: s and the responses they send have been tested thoroughly. I’ve generally used Jira for reporting and logging bugs and confirming fixes and Confluence for documenting information and retrieving statistics about precious projects. In addition to this, tools used on a daily basis include Swagger, SDK, GKE, pgAdmin, various company internal databases and additional applications used in testing.

During this time, I also completed my MA studies at the University of Helsinki.
