In addition to Corporate & Strategic responsibilities, with 2 Service Heads I am responsible for:Housing Management (including delivery of a County CBL Scheme); Housing SupportCommunity Investment, Regeneration & Resident Involvement. Since joining we have brought together 2 separate subsidiary operational teams into a single team; With Severnside and ST&RH we have been working to develop county-wide consistent services, so that all tenants (and citizens of Shropshire) receive a coherent service regardless of geography or landlord. This includes County wide offers for the management of Allocations; ASB; Financial and Digital Inclusion; and Support Services - we helped to found a County-wide Consortium and won all SP contracts bid for, complemented by a new “Intensive Housing management” landlord offer for sheltered tenants. In keeping with Shropshire Housing Group's commitment to "place-shaping" we are very active and supportive partners for Shropshire Council's “place based” pilots and locality commissioning.

Described as "the grit in the oyster": Scanning the horizon: spotting threats & opportunities, interpreting new government initiatives & priorities; Creating solutions, new products, bids outside the mainstreamActed as “change agent”, identifying the direction of travel, advising on and championing the operational changes required. Led a Housing Forum working Group + wrote New Management models for new Mixed Income Communities concerning the need for stewardship of large new developments, & the need to work through local partnerships to deliver a range of holistic outcomes for residents. Also Group equal opportunities champion.
