As the literacy coach:- Supported new and veteran teachers across content areas with literacy strategy implementation and differentiation. - Used testing data to place students in the appropriate literacy support class.- Worked along with administration and English teachers to plan and provide caregiver education around supporting student's literacy journey. - Facilitated a literacy professional learning community for 16 teachers and staff. - Planned and facilitated literacy strategy professional developments for up to 50 teachers and staff members.As the accelerated literacy teacher:- Adapted the provided curriculum to meet the diverse needs of my students focused on skill instruction and text/literacy exposure.- Partnered with students to set learning goals, monitored progress towards these goals and communicated progress to students and caregivers.
