Advising clients in the energy and utilities sectors where regulatory advice is key, I have an excellent track record when it comes to complex and ground-breaking projects in the emerging net zero economy. Regularly advising on matters concerned with: • licencing and broader regulatory frameworks for gas and electricity transmission, distribution and supply; • CCUS: the emerging regulation and the business models (including the revenue stream);• hydrogen: the emerging regulation and the business models (including the revenue stream);• nuclear power; • direct procurement for customers (DPC) in the water sector; • onshore transmission, including electricity grid connections and the introduction of the competition in onshore transmission; • smart metering in the gas, electricity and water sectors; and• Contracts for Difference and other revenue support schemes in the energy sector. I also advise airlines and investors on matters concerning sustainable aviation fuels (SAF), including the developing regulatory framework, SAF production and offtake arrangements.I was a key member of the team working on the development and implementation the National Rail Contracts (NRC) in the rail sector.
