I am a new grad nurse that is eager to make an impact on the lives of patients and their families within the Fort Atkinson, WI and surrounding communities. I recently graduated in October 2023 from the 15-month accelerated BSN program through Bellin College. During my time in nursing school, I found an interest in hospice and palliative care. Prior to beginning the BSN program, I pursued three years of a human biology major curriculum through the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay.Before graduting nursing school, I was a certified nursing assistant on a surgical unit at Bellin Health in Green Bay, WI for three years. This role is where I found my passion for caring for others. In addition, I learned I loved to teach others by serving as a preceptor for newly hired certified nursing assistants. During my time working in the medical field, I have come to understand my passion for supporting patients in their hard times and in their healthcare goals. I also have an interest in addressing public health and social determinants of health. I have previous experience in this area through completing an community health internship with the N.E.W. Community Clinic in Green Bay, WI.
