I interned with the Ministry of Interior of Italy from July to September 2016, in the Department for Civil Liberties and Immigration.The Department carries out the functions and duties of the Ministry of the Interior in the protection of civil rights, with a specific focus on immigration, asylum, citizenship and religious confessions.It contributes to the definition of the migration policies of the Government, to guarantee the reception and assistance of asylum seekers, and the first aid to irregular migrants landed or found on national territory.During this experience I carried out researches and drafted internal documents, memos, press reviews and press releases, and I also dealt with several administrative tasks.

I interned with the U.S. Mission to the United Nations Agencies in Rome from February to July 2016, in the Public Affairs Office. The mission serves as a link between the U.S. Government and the Rome-based international organizations: the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the World Food Programme (WFP), and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).During this experience I dealt with several daily tasks such as internal communications, media monitoring and press reviews. I sometimes managed social media and external relations with journalists and UN officers.I personally planned the visit of the American UN Youth Observer to Rome, arranging her meetings and interviews with UN officials. Together with my colleague, I accompanied and assisted her to these appointments and in the after-hours.
