It does this through presenting them to an international audience of promoters at its annual Spring Forward Festival and through cross-border presentations by its partners.We started Spring Forward in 2011 in Ljubljana (Slovenia) and since then it’s been presented in Bassano del Grappa (IT) in 2012, Zürich (Switzerland) in 2013, Umeå (Sweden) in 2014, Barcelona (Spain) in 2015, Pilsen (Czech Republic) in 2016, Aarhus (Denmark) in 2017, Sofia (Buglaria) in 2018, Val de Marne (France) 2019 and were supposed to be in Rijeka (Croatia) in 2020 (instead we put the whole thing online with the help of Zoom). The live festival came back in 2022 in Elefsina (Greece) as part of the European Capital of Culture programme, in between that we held a smaller event in Ljubljana (Slovenia) called Spring Re:Collection in 2021. We went to Dublin (Ireland) in 2023 and Wiesbaden, Darmstadt and Mainz (Germany) in 2024 - next year Gorizia (Italy). The festival has an average audience of 150-200 international guests and runs three programmes alongside it, Springback Academy for young writers, Startup Forum for young curators and Artists' Encounter for local artists not performing in the festival.We have an online magazine (springbackmagazine.com) and run projects with educational institutions, as well as participating in the SHIFT eco-certification project to improve our environmental sustainability.www.aerowaves.org Show less

In 2015 I started Croydonites Festival of New Theatre to bring alternative performance work to Croydon. The festival has gone from 4 artists in 2015 to 46 artists in 2023, and completed 6 live editions and 1 online during Covid.In 2021 I was joined by Katie Hurley as Associate Director and our focus is very firmly on supporting local artists as well as bringing some of the best UK touring performance work to the borough and trying to showcase alternative spaces. The festival has gone from 4 artists in 2015 to 46 artists in 2023, and completed 6 live editions and 1 online during Covid.In 2021 I was joined by Katie Hurley as Associate Director and our focus is very firmly on supporting local artists as well as bringing some of the best UK touring performance work to the borough and trying to showcase alternative spaces. I did all of these jobs over a 15 year period, (although I didn't work there continuously). During this time I also worked at Dance Umbrella, Riverside Studios and for a number of choreographers, most notably Charles Linehan and Jonzi D.
