Mission Aviation Fellowship is an international Christian organisation whose mission is to fly light aircraft, and to use other technologies to bring help, hope and healing to remote people in some of the world’s poorest communities.  Every four minutes a MAF plane is taking off or landing somewhere in the world to assist missions, churches, aid and development agencies, and other local groups to transform lives and share the love of God.

In this role, I was responsible for statutory and management reporting across the MAF International group consisting of 27 subsidiaries and branches. I led restricted funding monitoring and reporting, was responsible for insurance across the group and provided advice on complex cross-border remuneration issues. I also drove quality improvement across the finance team and championed internationalisation within the global team.

Smith and Williamson is a top 10 accountancy practice in the UK offering a unique combination of the complete range of accountancy services plus investment management and banking. At Smith & WIlliamson, I worked with a wide range of businesses providing dynamic and supportive financial expertise, through the annual audit cycle and beyond. These included AIM listed companies, small to large enterprises, family owned corporates and partnerships, and businesses in the non-for-profit and charitable sector.I enjoyed partnering with businesses throughout their life cycle, from fast growing enterprises putting in place successful growth strategies to those thinking through ultimate exit plans. I have experience in providing due diligence services, completion accounts, ad-hoc projects and other forms of advice.

Whilst on a career break caring for my three children, I undertook part-time work preparing statutory accounts and tax returns for micro businesses and partnerships in conjuction with Direct Accounts Ltd based on Hayling Island.

During my time at Deloitte, I worked with predominantly listed businesses, large companies and British subsidiaries of multinationals listed elsewhere in the world.I undertook statutory audit work, some overseas and other ad-hoc projects with my clients, including work on acquisitions and debt listings on the UK markets.
