I am passionate about understanding the science around us and moving towards a more sustainable society. I enjoy educating and learning from others on multiple topics ranging from aquatic geochemistry and trace metal analysis to atmospheric science and climate change to device fabrication of semiconductors and sensors. Currently, I work within a team of engineers and technicians to align IR sensors- we’re innovating the alignment process through automation to increase precision and output. Previously, I have managed hundreds of students and created and helped maintain the chemistry lab inventory as a science instructor. I enjoy getting others excited about chemistry in our environment and helping them grow into more competent technical workers. My academic training is in analytical and material sciences, with multiple years of hands-on science, including instrumentation maintenance and trouble-shooting, semiconductor device fabrication, experimental design, and data analysis.
