Independently design and initiate development of analytical methods and improvement of existing ones to support all stages of API (active pharmaceutical ingredient) development. Extensive hands on experience in analytical techniques such as HPLC/UPLC/LCMS, GC/GCMS, ICP, KF, UV, IR, NMR, etc. Prepare specifications, testing, and approval for release for Raw Materials Intermediates and APIs.Independently critically evaluate and interpret scientific data and provide the significance. Demonstrates technical ability to assist in the design and execution of non-routine experiments. Independently manage complex analytical projects including timeline planning for analytical method development and/or implementation to meet company deadlinesAssist AR&D chemists on daily basis with technical and scientific issues.Supervise AR&D chemists, prioritize and manage workflowSchedule and prioritize the AR&D department analytical testingCoordinate method implementation and method development performed by AR&D chemistsCoordinate analytical testing, analyze data that has been generated, and prepare comprehensive data analysis reportsProvide review of experimental results and a secondary review of experimental data generated by other chemists.Write project documentation including analytical test methods, developmental reports and protocols. Review the documentation written by other AR&D chemistsTroubleshoot the analytical equipment which includes HPLC,GC, ICP, LC-MS, GC-MS etcSchedule and coordinate calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of analytical equipment including one performed by outside vendorsIdentify and generate quotes for repair of analytical equipment and purchase of new equipment as neededOrder supplies and other materials as necessary
