I am currently a veterinary student at Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in May of 2021. I graduated from The University of Findlay with two Bachelor degrees in Animal Science and Biology. After working at a wildlife rehabilitation clinic near Seattle, Washington, I discovered my interest in the field of wildlife medicine. I loved handling the animals, from baby songbirds and squirrels to owls and bald eagles! My experience here led me to the desire to work with wildlife and exotic animals as a veterinarian. Observing and working at a small animal private practice allowed me to discover what the clinical field is like, and what kind of a difference you can make in someone's life as their veterinarian. As well as learning from hands-on experience with animals, my time spent observing veterinarians has opened a place for small animal practice in my future career considerations.
