Executing on design work + mentoring and delegating tasks to support staff. I work directly with GCs, engineers, architects, and custom vendors to execute on designs. Manage budgets, collect funds, + oversee the purchasing process for all my clients.

Welcome to Common Space! We are an independent retail shop and artist studio in San Francisco’s Richmond District. Featuring locally made goods for you and your home, we also host workshops and community events. All of this with the goal to come together, in a common space, around arts and crafts.

As the senior project designer, I was able to mentor the junior staff in our small, five-person team. Working closely with the Studio director to manage projects and produce work for all of the projects in the studio. In addition to working on more typical projects like a spine surgeon’s clinic in San Francisco, the repositioning of a small office complex in San Diego, & a concert venue in Sacramento, I was able to create a new offering for the firm. Bringing procurement in-house for the first time and creating an internal project studio FINISHED which leveraged existing knowledge about product and furniture specification to create a streamlined approach to smaller projects. Opening up a new part of the market to OTJ in the uncertain times of 2020.

On a four-member team, we oversee all design-related improvements for properties currently in the portfolio and new developments under planning & construction. Managing and designing projects ranging from wayfinding packages in parking garages to multi-million-dollar marketing suites for business development events to multi-phase developments in markets like San Diego and South San Francisco. One of the leaders in Class A office space on the West Coast while maintaining a commitment to green building and management practices. Working directly with the Senior VP of design to create successful development properties and responding to changing markets.

I was the first in-house interior designer hired to develop and roll out design standards for the quickly growing brand. While I was in my role, One Medical grew from less than 50 to over 200 locations. Alongside the VP of real estate, I brought the design of offices and onsite offices in our B2B partenr's facilities in-house. I helped to define the look and feel of the next generation of offices while navigating the founding CEO stepping down and the company preparing to go public. I designed flagship offices as we came into new markets like the office in Downtown Seattle.

As a store designer I oversaw up to 35 projects at a time in various stages of design and construction. From working with the construction manager to ensure projects are on-time and on-budget to meeting with operation managers to scope locations for renovations. I was a part of the team that worked on new concepts and special projects like the Reserve Stores. Working directly with the Design Director for the Pacific NorthWest on classified projects. I was one of two designers on the La Boulange brand acquisition, rebrand, and redesign of stores. In addition to the special projects, I worked on test fits for new locations + roll-out projects. I worked in Revit to create models that were turned into construction drawings by a third party architect before I reviewed and approved the final set.
