Reporting to the CFO, this is a leadership role with overall responsibility for the HR function, including ER, recruitment, H&S, performance development, benefits, etc. I have developed strong relationships with the leaders and am seen as a trusted advisor and resource.Achievements:• Across all areas, assess our HR technology with the view to create an HR digital landscape that is efficient, connected and adds value to processes.• Updating the company’s Policy Framework and Employment Agreement templates and facilitating the introduction of an Employee Awards programme that better reflects the company’s culture and changing business practices.• Updating and implementing the H&S system following HSWA, developing an auditable system; removing paper records wherever possible and developing a streamlined and efficient system. Advising CFO and MD on H&S matters relating to employees, contractors, and network of providers.• Streamlining the recruitment process and managing cost.• Developing a performance management system based on a competency framework.

This role was created to establish and manage the HR function in this start up healthcare software company.A lot of my time was spent on talent sourcing, including building the employer brand and managing all recruitment. I was also responsible for ensuring the company complied with HR practices in a global market (NZ, Australia, UK & Canada).Some of my other achievements included the development of various policies, designing and running company Vision and Values workshops, establishing on-boarding activities such as pre-start communications and induction, participating in international expansion projects, and establishing an active social club.

Providing all Payroll services to TWE NZ and TWE Matua, with a combined headcount of approximately 180 staff. I advised managers on policies and legislation, and coached them to resolve issues. I also completed monthly reporting including ir-filing, superannuation, leave accrual, hours analysis, etc.

I provided HR leadership to Auckland Head Office, nationwide sheep and beef farming operations, Marlborough vineyard operations, and Auckland-based land development team. I carried out all aspects of generalist HR management.I coached managers through and facilitated the introduction and execution of many organisation development initiatives, including health and safety systems and processes, performance management frameworks, restructuring, and many others. I provided guidance through the restructuring projects and successfully lead the company through implementation of group-wide OHS system and two ACC audits. We achieved secondary accreditation across all business units.

This role was a generalist Human Resources role. As well as carrying out general HR duties I managed the law clerks’ and summer clerks’ programmes; including managing their rotation plans, liaising with team leaders and supervisors, and conducting performance appraisals and end of rotation reviews

Updated performance management documents to better reflect the technical skills of individual business units. Managed all Graduate Recruitment activities nationwide. Assessed and improved both graduate assessment and induction activities.
