Epishine is based on research mainly from Linköping University and has developed a solar cell for indoor applications to power sensors and small electrical devices. We have launched our first products and are now focusing on market expansion and to further scaling up our production volumes. At Epishine I really enjoy working closely with the team. Focus the last years has been on scaling up the whole company, including sales and go to market strategies, and in parallell creating a good internal structure and efficient way of working. We have strong self driven teams (teal) and we have developed a ISO certified quality system that efficinently support our way of working.Focus has also been on product/market fit, strengthen our Go To Market strategy, implementing Account Based Marketing working closely with Account Based Sales. We have also improved our marketing communication using state of the art martech tools including efficient channels to reach important stakeholders.This has been an amazing journey and now 2 years after our first product launch we see the tornado coming and it is so exiting to feel the stormy wind coming up while crossing the chasm! :-)

Pallet Technology Center is Swisslog Center of Excellence for Pallet Technologies located in Boxholm, Sweden and in Kunshan, China. In this unit we are developing, maintaining, customizing, selling, realizing, manufacturing, installing and commissioning our pallet technology products with the whole world as working area.We are a 100% project oriented company and the projects can last for years starting in early sales phase through the whole realization process towards warranty and after market activities. One of the challenges as Managing Director is to balance the resources and competence needed to fulfill our obligations towards our customers. The workload is totally relying on the order intake (make to order) and often you end up in situations with too much or too little to do! During my years at the company we have seen both dramatic decrease of order stock and also dramatic increase in order stock! It is amazing how fast it goes up and down in this business!I am very proud to have been a leading contributor going from an organization with a customization mood into a developing mode. We are just in the phase of realizing our first 3 pilot projects or our new PowerStore and it has been an exiting journey setting the mindset, processes and organization from product development, product readiness all the way to organizational readiness!

The Controls Development Center are responsible for our common controls platform for our core technologies. It is important to have a core team securing our common code to secure harmonization and efficient maintenance and further enhancements of the code.I was leading a strong team located in Switzerland and in this role having a bigger picture including all Technology Centers within Swisslog. It was a very critical time going from a more traditional program foundation into our new generation controls! A challenging journey starting with the development of the new platform and product readiness, into piloting phase and then gradually organizational readiness within Technology Centers as well as local Controls team within the Regional companies.

Stokvis Tapes Sweden AB has more than 50 years of experience of efficient tape solutions. Stokvis Tapes are able to be your partner throughout the development process and have possibilities of producing prototypes, small series and high volume manufacturing.When I started my new position within Stokvis Tapes two critical changes took place. First the whole Stokvis Tapes group was aquired by ITW and the second challenge was the major financial crisis end of 2008 and 2009. Both of these changes heavily impacted my work as Managing Director. I, together with the management team, made all changes necessary to incorporate our unit into ITW processes and procedures involving several departments within the company. In parallel the company was phasing a major reduction of the orders and for the first time in the company´s history we had to let people go. It was really a challenge to get the right balance of resources and competence.

As Production & Technical Manager at Stokvis Tapes Sweden AB I was responsible for the Production department and the Technical department consisting of Production Leader, Production Planning, Operators, Process Engineering, Production Engineering and Design Engineering. In 2007 we merged with another tape company and I was the project leader of the merger. In the production area we developed a totally new layout and we implemented an improved material flow using lean principles.Later we also merged the manufacturing unit from Stokvis Finland into Stokvis Sweden. This was a bigger challenge since the operators had the competence more or less in their head and to transfer all knowledge to the receiving unit was not easy since the diversity of the products was very high and quite many products was not very often to be produced. In this time period I also pushed to extend our clean room to be able to expand within the Healthcare business. We also invested in automation technology to strengthen our competitiveness.

The Industrial Engineering department was responsible for the industrialization of the products and was the link between development and production.Within the department there were expertise within Project Management, Process Engineering, Production Engineering and Maintenance.I was also a member of the team reorganizing the plant to prepare for the future. The plant was transforming from a high volume manufacturing plant with stand alone products to a high end manufacturing plant with build in products. During the transition we needed to change the organization and mind set from a single player to a team player with other production units within the company.

Whirlpool decided to implement a production system based on lean principles. In the production sites a Lean Site Leader was appointed and in Norrköping that was me.I attended a number of workshops and seminars to learn more about Lean principles and I was also a member of the Lean network within Whirlpool. As the Lean Site leader I was responsible for implementing the Whirlpool Production System (WPS) in Norrköping plant. I did the overall planning, held educations within all departments at Norrköping, coordinated all the lean activities throughout the site etc.I have worked with a lot of different tools within lean thinking and held educations within: 5S, Cell Design, Kanban, Value Stream Management, Visual Management, SMED etc.I also held an overall Lean thinking workshop - Lean Game with focus on Delivery Performance and 100% Quality.

As the Logistics Manager I was responsible for Material Planning, Material Handling including inbound logistics and material flow within production area and Process Development.Whirlpool was in many aspects a role model within logistics and had for many years worked with advanced principles of JIT both daily routes from Swedish suppliers but also weekly routes from European suppliers with a very strict delivery scheme to our goods receiving. It was very interesting and I learned a lot during these years managing our inbound and internal logistics.
