I have developed Leeds Sanctuary from an idea into a values driven organisation working for the good of the people of Leeds. I manage the project and our small, passionate team. The project works to build community in the city centre through wellbeing, meditation and creative forms of activism. My role involves:- Organisational leadership- People management- Project management- Oversight of values, strategy and objectives- Budget setting and management- Group facilitation - National network facilitation and leadership- Creating national policy asks as part of national networks and organisations- Partnership development - Event and conference organisation and leadership- Ensuring long-term sustainability of the project

I was employed to develop and grow Leeds Sanctuary as a project. This started with listening for opportunities and led to the vision we have as an organisation today. I started a number of communities and grew a wonderful team. In this period I took an idea and turned it into a thriving small organisation. My role involved:- Networking- Community Development- Discerning and developing vision and values- Group facilitation- Team creation and management

I developed and ran community projects in North York using an asset based model of Community Development. My role included:-running a community shop front project which created a safe space where local people could share their skills and shape the project-project oversight and staff management of a project mapping the local assets and listening to local views and opinions as a means of planning for the future of that community-working with local people of all ages to create diverse spaces and activities-managing and developing local volunteers-online communications and brand creation-facilitation -safeguarding and risk assessing activities and projects-working with and supporting local people as partners in community projects-constantly re-assessing and adapting based on the feedback of participants-I am trained in Leadership and Management, Mental Health First Aid, Asset Based Community Development and Facilitation skills

Community Engagement Executive for Charity Connect, an exciting new product for the Charity sector. My role involved:-strategic communication and marketing helping the product to grow to hundreds of members in a few months-networking with sector influencers-creating a list of influencers, known as champions who would support the development and growth of CharityConnect

• Posted on social media on a day-to—day basis. I worked on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Google+. • The Collective undertook a rebrand, new website and created a new communications strategy while I was on the team and I fed into this.• Edited and uploaded content onto the Collective website, we used Dupal.• Undertook a social media research project in best practice for our audience which fed into our new communications plan.• Write for many different audiences internal and external: I wrote blogs, assemblies, church resources for us and wrote for the Boys Brigade and Fairtrade Fortnight.• Participated and contributed to writing a communications strategy.• Was the editor for 50 page communications report about the intern trip to Brazil.• Trained on Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro and InDesign.• Ran two working groups during my time at Christian Aid one about our Ambassadors scheme and one about the trip report.• Responsible for the Ambassador scheme, a scheme that engaged young supporters in campaigning.• Created and delivered workshops about using social media for young people.• Attended networking events to create partnerships and increase brand awareness.• Work with the media team: my work published in New Internationalist and on Medium. Also assisted ith media contact databse.• Work with Programme communications assisting with major donor funded projects and communicating with overseas partners.• Photography on the Brazil communications trip and have some experience with making and editing films.

• Worked on a self-led research project: Behind Closed Doors which was about enhancing visitor experience. This involved travelling the country, arranging visits and then writing up my findings.• Ran the social media: Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn.• Wrote the Social Media Strategy which was used as an exemplar for clients.• Wrote a variety of resources for use on a new website for external agencies to use.• Received social media training from DigiEnable.
