About Anna Bodanovsky

Looking for new career opportunities in the Basel Biotech area. Feeling very excited :)My last adventure took my family and me all the way to Switzerland, where I was working as the Director of R&D of Fyniix GmbH. Fyniix was developing the process of protein extraction from marine sources to produce a variety of products for human and animal benefit alike. As part of my managing requirements I set up the new lab with all equipment, hired the team members, managed the process development of its core technology and designed new product concepts and evaluated the feasibility, together with leading partners.Prior to my relocation, I was the first employee of “Aleph Farms” and had the opportunity to be part of the cultured meat revolution for a healthier and sustainable world. Aleph focuses on directly growing the tissue in 3D using multiple cell types, ensuring an end-product which resembles the taste, texture and structure of farmed meat. I started at Aleph Farms as a Research Associate and developed the bovine cell platform and the company’s unique cultured meat prototype. After more than one and a half years I naturally continued to my new position as Process Development Scientist, where I was in charge of developing the entire bioreactor sampling and analysis regime. Additional to scaling up the process of bovine stem-cell proliferation, working with various bioreactors and complex set-ups to meet biological requirements. Always keeping the cells in mind. I am proud to have had the opportunity to co-develop the first prototype and basic technology, described in the company's Patent application. My position at “GluSense” was very exciting, performing Research and Development which included cutting-edge molecular biology approaches for protein design in bacteria, gene editing with CRISPR system in human cells and testing the device as a whole in large animal models. During my two and a half years at GluSense I was part of the team that successfully developed the core biosensor technology for the company’s innovative long-term, implantable, CGM device for diabetic patients. In my first job at “Agam Group (Coll-Med)” I held a Researcher and Patent Representative position for two years. As a researcher I was responsible for developing the production process, establishing a variety of validations while also developing new products from concept to feasibility stage. At the same time I took on the responsibility of managing the company's patents, requiring me to deal with many leading authorities in Israel and the U.S. in particular.
