I worked in SAS Canada's Professional Services Department under the Project Management Organization, which delivers SAS's innovative solutions directly to customers.At SAS, I had the chance to learn first-hand about project management, consulting, and information technology. My primary role consisted of managing the PMO organization's new Contractor recruitment process, formulating metrics for process improvements, and supporting Associate PMs. However, I was able to go outside of my prescribed role and identify interesting opportunities for development. For instance, I created effective data management systems using MS Access and Excel, automated reports using Excel VBA, generated statistics and dashboards for the team using Excel VBA, assisted in implementing a competition using SAS's Cortex system, and delivered a Tech Talk on the Global Agriculture Satellite Revolution to the entire PSD team.

TunnelBear is a Canadian VPN provider focused on providing its customers with a more secure and reliable way to browse the web.While at TunnelBear, I completed numerous software development tasks for the TunnelBear's Windows application, including translating the app into French. I also conducted a review of Continuous Integration platforms and pitched my suggestions to the entire Engineering team.

InSpark Analytics is a Toronto-based data analytics start-up dedicated to using open-source technologies for removing barriers to business innovation.While working at InSpark, I designed, implemented, tested and debugged a revolutionary tool that translates SAS code into equivalent Python code. I assisted in creating multiple grammars capable of recognizing the entire SAS programming language. I wrote major Python programs and clever algorithms which translate over 80% of SAS statements. Finally, I successfully demoed the tool to a potential partner.
