Position: Commercialization Manager Department: Partnering and Sustainability/Commercialization Support ProgramMajor responsibilities:Managing the Commercialization Support Program’s (ComSP) efforts to create sustainable civilian jobs for former weapon scientists and to ”graduate” former weapon experts and institutes in the CIS from sole dependence on other public funding to successful, self-supporting civilian activities. Among other responsibilities a leading role in the following areas:•Preparation of business plans aiming to create sustainable businesses; •Assistance in starting spin off companies based upon technology licenses; •Pre-screening of business applications received for ISTC funding;•Assessment of requests for commercializing technologies. Assessments include technical, market, business and legal factors;•Organizing events and workshops aiming to find and identify commercial opportunities for Russian and CIS R&D Sector;•Working with other ISTC departments and divisions on regular updates of the internal procedures; •Identifying potential sources of external funding and creating strategic partnerships;•Supporting training related activities aiming to improve basic skills needed to create, maintain and develop self-sustainable businesses and commercialization of technologies;•Preparing annual budget and quarterly activity reports of the Commercialization Support Program; and•Coordinating and managing external business contractors and experts;•Reporting to the Group Manager and ISTC Deputy Executive Director on the implementation of the approved budget.
