About Anna Bruce
I am a 3rd year UEA student studying Developmental psychology. Alongside my degree, I perform as a solo artist, playing guitar and singing, both originals and covers in the Colchester area. I am a cover singing teacher at Stagecoach, teaching groups of children from 4-14 singing, performance and vocal technique. I work within the local community to use music to provide therapeutic interventions for elderly people, such as those with dementia or who are end of life and in day centres such as brain injury centres . I volunteer each year for Camp Jojo, a charity which provides camping holidays for families of complex needs children. Before university I worked as an LSA in a mainstream secondary school for over a year and a as a co-educator in complex special needs, I have a keen interest in this area of work and research. A recent trip to volunteer in Romania to work with marginalised communities, living in extreme poverty, has inspired me to raise money for this community through my music.
