Yes, I was that girl in elementary school who came to Career Day dressed as the teacher. Ever since the days I spent peering over the couch to watch my mother mentoring her piano students in my childhood home, I knew teaching was meant to be a major part of my life. That passion has never faltered and only seems to grow with each teaching opportunity that comes my way.In order to become a skilled teacher, one must be an active learner, and the amount I have learned from my students over the course of my teaching career is unquantifiable - and I'm just getting started. I am grateful for the experiences I have had with students from Afghanistan, Brazil, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Greenland, Hungary, Iran, Iraq, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Syria, and the United States, ranging from preschool-aged children to seniors. It is thanks to this diverse array of people that I learned how to craft and adapt a teaching environment to suit both the individual and group needs of my students. When I'm not studying towards my degree, you can find this Colorado girl writing and illustrating children's books, playing the mandolin, testing out internet recipes to try on my friends, and showing those noobs on the Xbox how it's done.
