Throughout the last 4 years, when I have been pursuing my undergraduate degree in Political Science, I have had many experiences that have supported where I am today. During my freshman year of college, I was experiencing college life through a screen due to the Covid-19 pandemic. During my freshman year, I worked as a political campaign intern in both state and local campaigns. Throughout my sophomore year, I worked at growing my academic resume while on staff at Samford University in the Samford University Hub. Throughout my junior year, I expedited my academic career and began my senior year simultaneously. During my junior/senior year I conducted two research studies and conducted department wide presentations. Throughout my year as a junior/senior at Samford University, I became heavily involved with two notable international organizations, United Nations and the American Red Cross. Through the United Nations, I participated in the global summit for students widely known as Model United Nations. Through the experience in Model UN, I collaborated with hundreds of students from around the globe to create strategies to ensure peace in situations around the globe. The second international organization that I participate in is the American Red Cross. Through my work at the American Red Cross, I coordinated with citizens of the Alabama/Mississippi Region in order to better serve those affected by disaster both physically and financially. Through my experiences at the Model United Nations and the American Red Cross alongside my academic endeavors throughout the year, my junior/senior year of college was both lucrative in knowledge and experience in fields of interest. I hope that my experiences to come are equally if not more wonderful and lucrative in the same regards.
