Joined the public relations team as a freelancer before taking a permanant role after six months. My responsibilities involve setting and executing the consumer PR and social media strategy, managing high profile events, creating shareable content, reacting quickly to both positive and negative stories as well as defending our brand reputation. Key achievements include: Created and executed a corporate and consumer campaign to launch services to Detroit. These media successes translated into sales as we saw a 16% increase in bookings compared to the week prior to launch and bookings continued to increase by 9% week over week for the following seven weeks. Secured and managed the ITV documentary “Virgin Atlantic: Up in the Air” as well amplifying via PR and social. Over 4 million views per episode and so many hits on our You Tube channel, it crashed! Managed the reactive comms and strategic response around our emergency landing at LGW successfully positioning our pilot as a hero across all national coverageLaunched our new Vivienne Westwood uniform to the world through a consumer campaign which culminated in a celebrity event with Richard Branson, Vivienne Westwood, Blondie, Matt Smith, Kelis and Lily Cole. Hit all KPIS including coverage received in our top five target media Vogue, Marie Claire, Telegraph Fashion, Stylist and Grazia.Developed a content strategy across our social channels and created content in line with this. Managed high profile travel and tourism accounts including Tourism Queensland, NYC & Company (New York City), SeaWorld Orlando and Las Vegas CVA.
