CurrentOversees and administers student behavior related programming, supports,and responses for the purposes of accurate compliance with District, state and federal requirements.Oversee the implementation of the District-wide Behavior InitiativeCreate positive school culture and climate initiatives such as: Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports, MiBLSi, Promoting Positive School Climate, Crisis Prevention Institute, and Restorative Practices Provide leadership for the integration of Positive Behavioral Intervention SystemsRemain informed of all legal requirements governing special education and the appropriate communication Collaborate with building and District leadership in the areas of school improvement and staff developmentAssist in the recruitment and selection of special education staff both professional and supportParticipate as a member of the District Leadership TeamCollaborate with the Office of School Improvement to fully implement Response to Intervention strategies and proceduresCollaborate with the Office of School Improvement to fully implement Response to Intervention strategies and proceduresResponsible for the collection and submission of the End-of-Year School Infrastructure Database data to the Center for Educational Performance (CEPI)Coordinate and oversee District Crisis Response Team and responsible for training of the sameAssist with the oversight and administration of Homebound and Home based servicesAttend regional affiliate meetings within the region to represent the needs of the local district as neededOversee and coordinate expulsion/long term suspension hearings in compliance with law and Board policy including all communications and due process requirementsConduct data review District-wide (behavior)Compliance Officer for Sexual Harassment/Bullying investigations for the District Crisis Team Chairperson PPSC/PBIS Coordinator, Trainer, CoachRestorative Practices and Crisis Prevention Trainer
