Through roles on Allens' two key governing bodies, I worked in robust leadership groups to determine and execute the firm's strategic priorities. Allens' Executive Committee is responsible for implementing the firm's strategic objectives. It focuses on leading the business through dramatic change in the legal services sector, building on Allens’ core strengths of great people, clients and services to innovate and addressing clients' needs. Prior to my role on the Executive Committee, I was elected by the partnership to the Allens Board, which has oversight of the firm's executive team in setting the strategic direction of the firm.

As Partner and Head of Innovation, I maintained an active practice in the energy sector while overseeing the firm's multidisciplinary approach to innovation. My energy practice covered a broad range of work for government, industry participants and key market institutions, which has included significant privatisations, mergers and acquisitions, and project development. I have also worked extensively in industry reform, including with the COAG Energy Council and Australian Energy Market Commission. In my role as Head of Innovation, I oversaw the creation of Allens' Innovation and Digital Solutions team, which sees in-sourced teams experiment with, test and refine new technologies to solve clients' challenges. I led a team that fosters innovation at all levels of the firm, not only in technological developments but also in new ways of working and addressing disruption.

As Energy Resources and Infrastructure practice group leader I led a business unit of 200 professionals across five offices and multiple legal disciplines, improving engagement and profitability. As an inaugural sector leader, I was responsible for the firm's strategic clients in the power & utilities sector and for the development of the firm's profile in this space.

Working with my executive partner, I pioneered this staff role that was subsequently formalised and institutionalised across the firm.This role gave me the opportunity to manage a large team, drive our performance culture and successfully promote flexibility and diversity within the group. I championed our senior women lawyers, creating greater opportunities for their participation and development.
