Throughout the school year the class staffs and operates a Cafe on St. Thomas Academy property. The Cafe operates every Tues., Wed., Thurs., in the mornings before classes. Anna Contreras is responsible to baking pastries to be sold via Café and runs the hot line cooking breakfast sandwiches, burritos, and scrambles to order, while managing student “staff” of Café. Each student takes part in all aspects of the Cafe including but not limited to: class discussions, training, and practicum. Participation is part of the 4th Grade curriculum and will be a factor and influence to the student’s grade.
