Hello 👋 my name is Anna and I am 1 half of who founded Menstrual Health Project.I also am the co-director of ASG Audio Visual, which is a company who delivers everything audio visual you need for your event to run smoothly. Over the years I have turned my pain into passion for advocating for better healthcare and educations surrounding menstrual health conditions. I have suffered with Endometriosis for a huge portion of my life. Since my early teens I have struggled with Endometriosis symptoms and was officially diagnosed 2 weeks before my 18th birthday. Since then I have now had a total of 16 operations due to this disease which has meant I have a permanent ileostomy& urostomy bag, and underwent a full hysterectomy which has left me in full blown menopause from the age of 28. Through suffering with this disease I’ve seen the amount of injustice there is within healthcare for women & those assigned female at birth. This is why alongside my wonderful friend Gabz we cofounded Menstrual Health Project. A charity with the purpose to improve education and awareness surrounding menstrual health. We deliver educational seminars to schools, colleges, universities and workplaces on all aspect of menstrual health. It has been a passion of mine to turn my advocating into something more substantial & I am incredibly proud of the work we are doing here at MHP. Endometriosis has sadly taken so much from me & has impacted a huge portion of my life. I do not want the next generation to suffer like I have and to be made to feel like they can’t discuss anything to do with Menstrual Health. This is why I have dedicated a lot of my time to turning the one negative in my life into a positive. I am a proud patient board member of Gynae voices group for Wales, I sit on the board for the North Wales Gynae forum as a patient representative, I am an ambassador for Coloplast UK & I have also taken on a new role as lay member for NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) on the Endometriosis guideline committee within the Women’s & Reproductive Health Suite. I have a huge passion to create change for future generations within our health & educational system.
