I was first admitted to practice in 1987 and I have a Masters of Business Law from the University of Sydney. I have worked for a number of small and larger firms in Sydney and suburban practices and have experience in most areas of practice, and particularly in the fields of commercial litigation and wills and estates. Between 2014 and 2021, I have also run my own practice, which had an emphasis on litigation relating to costs law, as well as some commercial and estate litigation.My broad experience has given me practical knowledge which is invaluable in the area of legal costs law and practice. I have worked in the area of legal costs since 2002. My experience includes preparing Bills of Costs, Notices of Objections, Responses, Review Applications, and submissions and advice on various costs issues, as well as appearing on taxations of costs from time to time. I have experience in costs matters in NSW, Queensland and Victoria, as well as in the federal courts. This work has been carried out for large and small law practices, and for other clients including barristers, trustees and liquidators.I have also presented seminars on legal costs issues for Lawcover and the State Legal Conference, among others.
