During my time as a caregiver and support professional for a 13 year old girl with trisomy 18, I assisted in daily life tasks such as feeding, bathing, administering medication, changing her diaper, and encouraging bowel movements. I also aided in the development of her physical therapy regime such as working on leg strength for walking, arm strength for grabbing and holding items, abdominal strength for sitting up independently, picture recognition, and making choices.
