-To support the development team working on customer briefs producing sample products to a high standard and supporting the team presenting both developed products and innovation sessions.-Liaising with suppliers and the factory team to investigate new product/ingredient ideas, and also assist in the day to day running of the kitchen including maintaining hygiene and organisation standards.-Host weekly panels to showcase new development.-Attend/ host product handover meetings with departments to ensure that an efficient handover is complete before product is trailed-Develop new & innovative products in line with product briefs.-To follow all NPD procedures and ensure that all work is correctly documented. Ensure that each stage of the process is correctly completed, documented & communicated.-Carry out theoretical & lab analysis of nutritional components when required. Ensure that products fit any nutritional requirements set by customer, BSA, company etc.-To maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the food retailing market, e.g. via trade press, food magazines & competitor shopping, to ensure development of cutting edge & market leading products.
