A valuable employment within SMACC resulting in a now proven ability to effectively communicate and excel at all levels within the workplace; technical, operational and commercial through placements and projects across the company. - Individual responsibility of the AAF extraction system, vital to the running of the plant and safety of 500+ employees and the surrounding environment particularly that of residential areas. Tasked with undertaking reactive, routine and preventative maintenance and operational management 24/7 365 days a year.- Various improvement projects undertaken with the largest project being a major refurbishment of 2 Main Air fans powering extraction for the whole steel making process and largely the Electric Arc furnace, this project was managed by myself involving prior preparation with contractors and suppliers, managing the project and timescales over the two weeks annual shutdown window. - Trained in Risk assessments to sign of safe working procedures for all contracted and individual work. - Trained in Six Sigma continuous improvement practices; 5S, 5 why, Root cause analysis, DMAIC, Fishbone, Pareto principle and Gemba all to elevate cost control and increase production efficiency. - Proficient in MS Office, SAP, Autocad and Solidworks from regular use of these programs.
