BenAnna Band LLC is a children's band that focuses on inclusion and music for all ages, abilities and idenities. My partner and I are creative together in our performances and adaptation of songs for our audience virtually, in person and in prerecorded music resources. I create and update all social media accounts, promotions and advertisements while booking and seeking more performance opportunities for the band.The BenAnna Band is a high-energy musical duo utilizing guitar and singing to jam out on pop and throwback covers, traditional children's songs with a new engaging twist, and new/original children's music! Our goal is to provide a fully engaging interactive live musical experience for kids of all ages and abilities by bring live instruments for the audience to participate with! Both Ben and I work in the fields of early childhood education and music therapy, so our music as the BenAnna Band reflects our experience and passion for learning, fun, and growth, adding a hearty dash of good old-fashioned silliness while being auditory and sensory aware of their audience's needs!

I was the Music Therapist for two special needs preschools under the same umbrella. I conducted group Music Therapy sessions with each class twice a week and work on educational, cognitive, social, emotional, physical and language goals. I followed the classroom thematic schedule to reinforce educational concepts that the teachers are working on to give the student the best opportunity for success. Along with group sessions, I organized and conducted monthly group sing alongs with multiple classrooms to give the students a different social experience. Since I worked under a grant, I create a yearly binder with all my session plans, documentation of sessions, presentations throughout the year and weekly schedules in order to be re-certified for each yearly grant for the school’s services.

I taught 30-60 minute individual or dyad lessons in piano, voice, guitar, ukulele, clarinet and drums to students ranging in age from 5 year olds to 25 year olds. I also ran 45 minute Mommy & Me music classes, 3-5 year old drop off music classes and 5-7 year old beginner piano group classes. I also built up this location's adaptive lesson program for students with special needs ranging in a while range of abilities through networking events and presentations. I also was an interim administrative director of the facility to help with scheduling lessons, coordinating employees, customer service responsibilities and sending email campaigns.
