I’m Anna, a specialist veterinarian and entrepreneur, seeing a loss of purpose and lack of diversity in the veterinary industry. I visit 45 clinics containing generous, intelligent, purpose drive people who are increasingly frustrated with the industry. I believe that vets have a huge role in supporting human health, along with our roles in animal and environmental sectors. Pet ownership saves the US economy US$22.7b per year in health care costs, how can we as a profession make sure that the community members that need pet ownership can access it?I have start up business and board experience, strong relationships with many veterinary businesses, and a profitable veterinary business. I am actively looking to create opportunities for people who can't access pet ownership to interact and work with dogs. We are in the process of setting up a program with outcomes of social connection and employment opportunities in the animal care and veterinary sectors.
