Project OfficerDepartment Of Regional Development And Lands Dec 2014 - Sep 2016In this role I was focused on identifying service provider strengths along with opportunities for growth - then developing collaborative strategies to maximise outcomes from DRD's investment in over 100 regional Community Resource Centres. I was the lead officer in the procurement planning for the process to secure services from Community Resource Centres from 2017/18-2019/20. This complex procurement process saw me involved in all facets of procurement including:- development of comprehensive Stakeholder Engagement Strategy;- leading state-wide Stakeholder Engagement sessions and follow up video conference discussions;- synthesising stakeholder feedback and developing procurement strategy taking this, and government priorities into account;- establishing and consulting with Working Group representing service providers to further refine procurement process;- development of Procurement Plan to be presented to the Community Services Procurement Review Committee and to guide the planned procurement;- development of tender request and supporting guides to service delivery;- development and monitoring of risk management strategy;- guiding the contract management team to undertake robust service provider review to inform recommendations for Preferred Service Provider status prior to a major procurement process. I also kept our team on track with detailed analysis of our internal processes and development of new ways of working. Communications and stakeholder engagement was my other priority - keeping key players in the loop and excited about driving ahead. My excellent communication skills saw me undertake diverse tasks from facilitating stakeholder engagement sessions through to developing business cases for multimillion dollar programs. I was also responsible for managing a review of the Westling satellite TV service operated by DRD. I regularly backfilled management positions, formally taking a leadership role within the team during these times.

Senior Project OfficerDepartment Of Regional Development And Lands Jun 2013 - Jun 2014The successful development and implementation of a tender, award and the transition of 93 not-for-profit organisations from grants to contracts was achieved with my excellent project management skills, creative thinking and high attention to detail playing a key role. Being open to new ideas and working closely with providers saw us secure Department of Finance approval for the state's the largest Community Services procurement and then implemented in record time with very positive performance from providers evidenced since implementation. In this role I:- Undertook research and implement an approach for contracting service from the not-for-profit sector based on the Delivering Community Services in Partnership policy;- Prepared procurement plan using Preferred Service Provider model to procure services from the Community Resource Network; - Developed documentation for procurement process including Service Level Outcome Guides and support documentation;- Provided briefings to Corporate Executive, WA Regional Development Trust, Regional Development Council and the Minister for Regional Development;- Managed stakeholder relationship and provide opportunities for meaningful engagement and consultation, including coordinating and delivering briefings sessions across WA and video conference;- Managed project schedule and budget;- Regularly backfilled management positions, formally taking a leadership role within the team during these times.

Project OfficerWestern Australian Regional Development Trust Dec 2012 - May 2013Perth, AustraliaOne of my most exciting roles of my career was working with the WARDT to undertake a comprehensive review of a Royalties for Regions program. This short term project saw me utilising my strong research and analysis skills, combined with genuine stakeholder engagement to get a real understanding of regional perspectives and issues. I contributed significantly to the writing of the final report and the development of the recommendations to the Minister.- Undertook research into matters related to the Review of the Community Resource Network, as well as analysis of public submissions to the Trust in relation to the Review.- Planned and implemented extensive consultation sessions with stakeholders across the state. Synthesised information gathered to utilise in the development of the Review document.- Engaged in professional dialogue with the Trust board, in particular the Chairperson, to develop appropriate and workable recommendations supported by evidence.- Key contributing writer to the WA Regional Development Trust's Review of the Community Resource Network, presented to the Minister two months ahead of schedule.- Commended both publicly and in writing by the Chairperson, Andrew Murray, for excellent work with the Review process.Final Report Available at http://www.drd.wa.gov.au/Publications/Documents/WARDT_Review_of_WACRN_report.pdf

CoordinatorWest Arthur Community Resource Centre Jan 2010 - May 2011I reinvigorated this small community hub by developing exciting programs and building relationships with key influencers in the community. I leveraged value from increased Royalties for Regions grant funding by securing other grants and increased financial support from local government. I also identified and implemented a range of new services, including a Bendigo Bank Agency. I effectively managed a small team with a positive, results focused style.
