Profile bio

About Anna Dodridge

I started my career as an advice caseworker, working in the Higher Education sector for 20 years, delivering and managing support services in the form of Students' Unions. This work allowed me to collaborate with young people in building strong, collectivised & vibrant student communities. I held leadership roles for over 10 years. My academic background is varied - covering off music, education & law, plus professional training in leadership, advice & counselling. I care about people learning, developing and becoming powerful within communities so that we can change the world into a place where everyone can thrive. I'm interested in leadership that is honest, based on values, which challenges traditional hierarchy that favours the privileged. I want organisations to be effective for our communities by getting rid of business waffle, being open, accessible and liberating. In my life outside the office I've been a trustee for Rape Crisis South London, and continue to work on projects relating to ending sexual and gendered forms of violence. I'm a musician, currently performing + recording as a drummer, and actively involved in fighting for musician-owned and run spaces, resisting the commercialising-hedge-fundification and landlordism that seeks to crush the life out of the arts.Specialties: Project Management, Higher Education, Representation and Union Negotiation, Team Management and Leadership, Strategic Development, Campaigns Strategy, Policy Development.

Listed skills include Policy, Leadership, Project Management, Research, and 21 others.
